Re: to print the baselined version number along with date *File > Print MAYBE - can only display the baseline label in the header or footer - you can manually add the baseline date next to the label *File > Export > Microsoft Office > MSWord NO *WEXP http://YES - But is not fully compatible with DOORS version 9.x and not supported by IBM *Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) YES - But RPE is an expensive licensed add-on tool that you have to purchase from IBM If the above is no good for you - then you're looking at having to do this using DXL. Re: to print the baselined version number along with date SystemAdmin - Wed Mar 09 16:16:16 EST 2011 Paul Miller Melbourne, Australia Did some further investigation on what DOORS features support the ability to include baseline info like baseline label and date - see below. File > Print : MAYBE - can only display the baseline label in the header or footer - you can manually add the baseline date next to the label File > Export > Microsoft Office > MSWord : NO WEXP : YES - But is not fully compatible with DOORS version 9.x and not supported by IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) : YES - But RPE is an expensive licensed add-on tool that you have to purchase from IBM If the above is no good for you - then you're looking at having to do this using DXL. Re: to print the baselined version number along with date File > Export > Microsoft Office > MSWord/MSExcel. Is there any DXL code to solve this issue?since i am new to DOORS I need your help.waiting for your reply. regards, bhuvana |
Re: to print the baselined version number along with date bhuvanaperiyasamy - Wed Mar 09 22:51:59 EST 2011 These DXL files could be copied and modified to suit your needs but they are very large DXL files and I am not very familiar with the code structure, so it would take me some time to work out where the modifications would need to be made. I recommend that you go to the DOORS DXL forum and post a new topic there - ask if anyone knows how to modify the word.dxl and excel.dxl files to include the baseline label and baseline date in the print job. I am sure that there will be someone who will know what to do more quickly than me. Paul Miller Melbourne, Australia |
